Typical Switzerland
The Schweizer Heimatwerk was founded in 1930 by the Swiss Farmers' Union on behalf of the Federal Council. The aim was to support the mountain population during the winter months and to offer them a possibility to sell their products. In 1931 it was transformed into a non-profit cooperative.
Today, the Schweizer Heimatwerk is more modern than ever, thanks to the sustainable trend. The stores also look more modern since the renovation in 2022/2023. But something has remained the same: We remain true to our roots, of course, and offer Swiss artists, manufacturers and studios a platform to sell their (artistic) crafts. Typical Swiss, but interpreted in a more modern way.
